안녕하세요 옥스포드 라이팅 입니다.영어 에세이 쓰는법 포맷팅에 오늘은 MLA 포맷팅에 대해서 알려드리고자 합니다. MLA는 주로 APA와 함께 미국 대학교에서 가장 널리쓰이는 2대 서식입니다. 문서를 어떤식으로포맷하느냐에 따른 것으로 사실상 결정적인 차이는 없습니다만 다른 점이라면 MLA는 APA와 달리 커버 페이지가 없고 마지막 참고문헌에 Reference 대신 Work Cited 라는 말이 사용 됩니다. 그 이외에도 Citation하는 방식과 대문자 소문자를 적는 방식에 조금 차이가 있습니다. 오늘은 1) MLA 포맷팅 하는 방법  2)텍스트 내 인용하는 방법  3) 글 밑에 인용한 자료 적는 법 이라는  소주제를 가지고 알아볼게요.  영어에세이.온라인코스대행1) MLA Formatting 

- 첫번째 페이지에는 자신의 성함, 교수님 이름, 수업 이름, 날짜를 적습니다. 

- 제목은 가운데 설정으로 합니다. 

- 첫번쨰 문장은 문단 들이기 설정을 해줍니다.

- 글자 간격은 더블 스페이스 설정 합니다

- 폰트는 Times New Roman으로 설정하고 크기는 12로 설정 합니다.

- 오른 쪽 위에 헤더에는 자기의 성을 적습니다. 

2) In-text citation 

- 직접 인용을 할때에는 따옴표 안에 직접 인용문을 반드시 넣어줍니다.

- 간접 인용을 할때에는 따옴표가 필요 없고 자신이 직접 paraphrase한 내용을 적습니다.

- 주장한 내용은 반드시 인텍스트 인용을 해줘야 합니다. 

- 가로한에 저자 이름과 페이지 번호를 기록 합니다. 

*(잠깐) 웹사이트를 인용하고 싶은데 그럴때는 페이지가 없는데 어떻게하죠?

= > 웹사이트를 인용할때에는 페이지가 없기 때문에 페이지를생략해도됩니다

= > 또한   저자의 이름이 없는 경우는기사의 제목 4글자를 대신해서적습니다. 

3) Work cited Pages : 맨 마지막에 참고 문헌

*  영화와 유튜브 그리고 웹사이트 같은 경우에는 수업마다 허락하지 않는 경우가 있으니 무단으로 인용하지말고 반드시 교수에게 사전에 물어보도록 합니다 

마지막 하단에 참고문헌에 인용한 자료들을 정리해줍니다. 여기서 중요한 것은 알파벳 순으로 오름차순 정렬을 하는 것을 잊지 마세요.

그 이외에 참고 해두면 좋을 내용 

- MLA는 인문계열에 많이 사용되는 포맷팅 형태 입니다. 

- 8.5 * 11 inch 종이에 맞는 형식으로 포맷팅 되어야 합니다.

- 커버 페이지는 작성하지 않습니다.

- MLA /APA이외에도 포맷팅 형식에 Chicago, Harvard 형식이 있습니다.
