그전엔 절대 판올림은 없다더니 웬일인지....

디즈니랑 애플 tv때문에 해준다고 하는데.....

여행중이라 못하고있는데......
하면 많이 바뀐다는데....
검색해봐도 해준다 라는 발표만 있지 후기가 없어서

Firmware updates are released on an as-needed basis for Smart TVs. These updates are used to enhance current features, fix bugs, & in some cases add additional applications.

Note: The manual update process must be completed from a PC, it is not possible from Mac.

Steps will be the same for all LG WebOS TV models.

Firmware can be updated manually by downloading the update file from lg.com onto a USB storage device. To perform the update you'll need:

• An empty USB flash drive with 1GB or greater of storage
• A computer with internet access

1. Find Your Product

   1. Visit the Software & Drivers support page.
   2. Enter your LG TV model number into the search bar.
   3. Select your LG TV model from the drop-down list.

2. Download the latest software zip file

   1. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port of the PC.
   2. Make a folder on the USB drive named: LG_DTV.
   3. Right-click the zip file firmware name then select Extract All into the LG_DTV folder on the flash drive.
   4. Once the extraction is complete, eject the USB drive from the computer and remove it.

3. Insert the USB into the USB port on the TV

   The folder must be named exactly as show above. The TV will look only for this specific folder when searching for updates.

   1. If the steps were completed properly, the LG TV will display USB UPDATE READY.
   2. Select Install.
   3. Follow the instructions on the LG TV to complete update.
   4. Once the install is completed, power OFF the LG TV for 10 seconds then back on to complete the update.

Please select the WebOS version of your LG TV:

• WebOS 22

  1. Go to Settings > All Settings > Support.
  2. Select Software Update.
  3. Select Check for Updates and if an update is available Download and Install.

  If you wish to have the TV update automatically, set Auto Update to on.

  4. Once download is complete, power OFF the TV for 10 seconds then power ON to install the update.
  
  

• WebOS 6.0

  1. Go to Settings > All Settings > Support.
  2. Select Software Update.
  3. Select Check for Updates and if an update is available Download and Install.

  If you wish to have the TV update automatically, set Auto Update to on.

  4. Once download is complete, power OFF the TV for 10 seconds then power ON to install the update.
  
  

• WebOS 5.0

  1. Go to Settings > All Settings > Support.
  2. Select Software Update.
  3. Select Check for Updates and if an update is available Download and Install.

  If you wish to have the TV update automatically, set Auto Update to on.

  4. Once download is complete, power OFF the TV for 10 seconds then power ON to install the update.
  
  

• WebOS 4.0 or 4.5

  1. Go to Settings > All Settings > General.
  2. Select About this TV.
  3. Select Check for Updates and if an update is available Download and Install.

  If you wish to have the TV update automatically, set Auto Update to on.

  4. Once download is complete, power OFF the TV for 10 seconds then power ON to install the update.
  
  

• WebOS 3.5 or older

  1. Go to Settings > All Settings > General.
  2. Select About this TV.
  3. Select Check for Updates and if an update is available Download and Install.

  If you wish to have the TV update automatically, set Auto Update to on.

LG전자가 웹 운용체계(OS) TV에 대규모 소프트웨어(SW) 업그레이드를 실시한다고 16일 밝혔다.

LG전자는 2018년부터 작년까지 출시한 웹OS TV(웹OS 4.0/4.5/5.0 탑재 모델)를 대상으로 브라우저 업그레이드를 이달부터 순차 진행한다.

LG 웹OS TV는 매직리모컨을 활용해 마치 마우스 커서를 움직이는 것처럼 TV를 간편하게 조작할 수 있어 브라우저 활용도가 특히 높다.

이번 업그레이드는 LG전자가 고객 페인포인트를 해결하는 것에서 출발했다. 실제로 LG TV 사용자 커뮤니티 등에는 웹OS 브라우저 업데이트를 원하는 고객 목소리가 접수되곤 했었다. 브라우저 업데이트를 하지 않은 PC나 모바일 기기에서 인터넷을 정상적으로 사용할 수 없는 것과 마찬가지로, TV에서도 구 버전 브라우저만으로는 최신 웹사이트를 제대로 표시하지 못하는 경우가 있었기 때문이다.

LG전자가 TV에 탑재하는 브라우저를 업그레이드하는 것은 이번이 처음이다. 글로벌 메이저 TV 제조업체의 경우를 보더라도 이례적이다. 시장조사업체 옴디에 따르면 지난 2018년부터 2020년까지 LG전자 웹OS TV 글로벌 출하량은 7000만대에 육박한다.

대상 모델을 사용 중인 고객은 TV 홈 화면에 있는 브라우저 아이콘을 클릭해서 업그레이드 방법을 확인 후 최신 브라우저를 내려받을 수 있다.

고객은 업그레이드로 △불필요한 광고를 가려주는 '광고 차단' △화면을 반으로 나눠 웹서핑과 TV 시청을 동시에 할 수 있는 'TV 하프뷰' △ '악성사이트 차단' 등 최신 웹OS 브라우저의 차별화한 기능까지 모두 이용할 수 있다.
